So where did this craze start? It's a story of a young boy who had two parents and there was not a lot of money for toys and fancy gifts.
He decided to create his own creations using prestik........ yes I do mean prestik. (In South Africa it's an elastic type of silicon used to put stuff up on walls without making it permanent.)
As these figurines did not dry properly and this medium was not ideal his mom bought him Air-dry clay. Now that is how these weird and funky figurines actually started to get the shape and of course, hold their shape. This hobby of his never left him and as an adult, he still has this crafty side that emerges when real life gets too much.
So why did we decide to start this blog? During Covid 2020 we all were left stranded and locked up, so we had to create some sort of refuge to ensure that we stay sane. This artist ...... let's call him the Goggga creator started with his childhood craze and taught his two daughters how to create these little figurines and also how easy it could be to start your own little business.
So to the creator and kids Kiddos and I hope it's as much fun creating these weird and funky little people as it is to watch how you make them.
